  5. What it is

  8. TimeFrame is a small Windows "gadget" which adds a digital clock display
  9. to the right-hand side of the topmost window's caption bar.  I wrote this
  10. program because I got tired of hunting around for the clock display which
  11. was always buried somewhere underneath a morass of other windows and I
  12. therefore wound up missing too many episodes of Star Trek !  TimeFrame
  13. is always there when you need it.

  15. I called the program TimeFrame because it displays the time in the frame
  16. part of a Window.......obvious, eh ?

  22. TimeFrame doesn't show up when the frontmost window is a dialog box.  I
  23. could change this fairly easily but I didn't think it was worth the
  24. trouble.  What do you think ?

  27. How to install it

  30. Just copy the two files TFRAME.DLL and TIMEFRAM.EXE into your Windows
  31. subdirectory.  Then just add TIMEFRAM.EXE to the "load=" or "run="
  32. part of your WIN.INI file.  Here's what mine looks like:

  35.             load=timefram.exe
  36.             run=
  37.             ....etc....
  38.  
  39. Once you restart Windows, you should see the clock display in the topmost
  40. window.

  43. Beerware !

  46. TimeFrame is "beerware" :- if you like it, then send me a fiver to cover
  47. the cost of a trip to the local hostelry !  This is really an experiment 
  48. on my part :- I want to get some first-hand experience of what the market 
  49. is like for Windows shareware.  If there isn't one, then I'll probably
  50. just upload future goodies to the American BBS's.

  52. Incidentally, if you'd like the source code for TimeFrame, then you can
  53. purchase this for 50 quid.  In return, you'll get my undying gratitude,
  54. notification of future goodies and *I* will you take *you* to the local
  55. hostelry if you're ever in the area !
